I’m hoping one of the experienced SW users will have an idea as to where I’m going wrong. I’ve got to be doing something wrong or missing a step somewhere. The game produces an error message saying the save file is damaged and cannot be loaded. The game launches normally with none of the changes being in effect. I have been able to achieve two possible results:

(At this point, I deleted the save from my PC and then exported the save back to the PC, from Save Wizard, to see if the changes had taken effect.
